HC Deb 08 April 1970 vol 799 cc78-9W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why he will not change the present arrangements whereby the Treasury finances private visits by Members of Parliament and Peers.

Mr. Diamond

The present financial arrangements for the visits which my hon. Friend has in mind were indicated by my hon. Friend the Minister of Defence for Administration in reply to two Questions put by my hon. Friend on 25th March.

I am satisfied that these arrangements are appropriate.—[Vol. 798, c. 418–20.]
