Mr. McCann

asked the Secretary of State for Local Government and Regional Planning if he will make a statement about the membership of the North-West Economic Planning Council.

Mr. Crosland

As the period of appointment of some members expires at the end of March and there are also some vacancies, I have reviewed the membership and appointed a few new members. I am circulating a full list of the members of the council in the OFFICIAL REPORT. I am glad to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the excellent work done by those members who have served hitherto.
