HC Deb 07 April 1970 vol 799 c68W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent his Department is assisted in increasing exports to Israel; and whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT figures giving the change in the amounts of exports to Israel during 1968 and 1969, respectively.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

British exports, including re-exports, to Israel rose by £38 million and £15 million in 1968 and 1969 respectively. I am confident that this reflects the increased activity of British exporters who have taken advantage of assistance provided by the Board of Trade in co-operation with the British National Export Council's Committee for Israel and our Embassy in Israel.
