Mr. Oakes

asked the Attorney-General if he will now implement the recommendations of the Lord Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Legal Aid to increase the income limit of £7 10s. on those seeking free advice on the statutory scheme and increase the limit of £3 on the remuneration of solicitors giving advice under the scheme.

Those recommendations and the further recommendations of that Committee for providing better facilities for legal advice and assistance are under consideration, along with the observations of the National Board for Prices and Incomes in its Report No. 134.
