§ 54. Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what estimate he has made of the number of people who have been forced to emigrate from the Highland area owing to the imposition of selective employment tax.
§ Mr. RossI am aware of no evidence to suggest that S.E.T. has affected emigration from the Highland area, which has in fact been reduced as a result of Government policies.
