HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 c194W
54. Mr. Gregory

asked the President of the Board of Trade what progress has been made in realising technological and trading advantages by way of agreements with member countries of COMECON particularly in the Eastern European zone; what proposals he has towards the normalisation of trading arrangements with these countries; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

We have trade arrangements with all East European countries with which we have diplomatic relations. These arrangements are normal for trade between centrally planned and market economy countries, and our trade has developed substantially under them.
