Mr. W. T. Williams

asked the Prime Minister, if, following the recent reorganisation of Government Departments, he will now consider the creation of a national trade practices commission that will embrace the Government's consumer protection functions.

As I told the House in my statement on 13th of October, the recent changes do not effect the consumer protection responsibilities of the Board of Trade.—[Vol. 788; c. 32.]
