HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 c219W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the minimum number of votes for the United Kingdom which the Government propose to insist upon to protect the interests of the United Kingdom in the Common Market.

Mr. Luard

The weight of the votes which Britain would have as a member of the European Communities is a matter to be agreed in negotiations.

Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proposals he has regarding making available to the countries of the Common Market classified information about British atomic installations in connection with Great Britain's entry into membership of the European Economic Community.

Mr. Luard

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave him on 16th October, to which I have nothing to add.—[Vol. 788, c. 603.]
