§ Mr. Harold LeverNo. The Government have been satisfied that the A.G.R.s will generate base load electricity at lower cost than conventional stations. To withhold permission for the construction of further A.G.R.s would delay unacceptably the reduction of the cost of electricity and the further development of nuclear power.
