§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why information on the number of spot checks on road traffic to ascertain to what extent the law is being broken with regard to tyres, lights, brakes, insurance, seat belts. road tax licences, exhaust fumes and noise and steering is not readily available to him and Members of Parliament; and whether he will take such action as may be necessary to ensure that this information is made available.
