§ Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make future passports available in either the former hard covered type or the new flexible covered type.
§ Mr. FoleyThe possibility of redesigning the present form of British passport has been under examination; the aim would be to save costs by introducing mechanical processing in major passport centres and for this a flexible cover is a prerequisite. It is hoped to make an announcement about future intentions in due course.
