§ Mr. Geoffrey Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what consideration she has given to the recent representations of the President of the National Federation of Building Trades Employers about the Construction Industry Training Board levy; what action she will take, particularly in regard to smaller building firms affected by the current depression in the industry; and if she will make a statement.
§ Mr. DellI have noted the recent public statement by the President of the National Federation of Building Trades Employers about the Construction Industry Training Board's proposals for its next levy. The board has yet to finalise the proposals and submit them to me for approval. I shall then consider them in the light of all the relevant factors.
