§ 58. Sir Clive Bossomasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in formulating his proposals for amendments to the law relating to drink and driving, he will give an assurance that capillary blood tests will remain the standard method of taking blood for examination rather than venous blood.
§ Mr. Elystan MorganThe relevant statutes do not specify whether a blood specimen is to be of capillary or venous blood. My present information does not suggest that they should, for in practice the doctor and the motorist settle which it is to be and no great difficulty appears to arise.
