§ Mr. VarleyThe Department has placed contracts for research and development, both direct and through N.R.D.C., with a number of industrial firms in the Northern Region and with International Research & Development Ltd. We are now considering assisting with the establishment of a Marine Industries Unit at Newcastle University.
