§ Mr. Rhodesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the policy of the Government with regard to Recommendation No. 561 on the protection of minors against ill-treatment, which was adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 30th September, 1969; and whether they will seek to comply with the proposals made in this text, in particular in paragraph 9(b).
§ Mr. Elystan MorganThe Consultative Assembly recommended that the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe should invite member governments to take a number of measures for the protection of minors against ill-treatment. The Committee of Ministers has not yet taken a final decision.
