§ Mr. FreesonThe Housing Act, 1969 gives local authorities and owners the means and incentives for a determined attack upon a wide range of bad housing conditions. Officers of the Ministry are ready to discuss with any local authority how a start can best be made on this, and I hope my hon. Friend's constituents will apply for grants in as many suitable cases as possible.
