HC Deb 14 November 1969 vol 791 c166W
Sir G. de Freitas

asked the Minister of Technology why, in the first five months of 1969 compared with the first five months of 1968, while the value of men's leather footwear exported to the United States of America rose, that of women's leather footwear declined.

Figure for the first nine months of 1969 show a considerable improvement: exports of women's leather footwear to the U.S.A. were higher than in the corresponding period of 1968. The improvement in men's leather footwear exports has also been maintained.
