asked the Minister of Public Building and Works what proposals he has for increasing the uses of mechanical and technological aids in the construction industry.

Mr. Loughlin

The Ministry undertakes and promotes research and development on mechanisation, winter building and computer applications; we distribute publications and arrange exhibitions. We are also setting up an Information and Advisory Service at the Building Research Station, and a Centre for structural engineering computer programmes.
