asked the President of the Board of Trade what representations have been received from Commonwealth Governments and producers and commercial bodies overseas about the loss of Commonwealth preference caused by the adoption of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development plan of generalised preferences.

Some representations have been received from Commonwealth Governments. There will, of course, be full Commonwealth consultations before any new preferential arrangements can be implemented.
