§ Miss Jennie LeeI have considered the position of the British Theatre Museum with great care. The history of the British theatre is represented in the collections of many libraries and museums, including the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert and the London Museum. I told the Trustees of the British Theatre Museum in 1967 that I could not offer any direct Government support, and this remains the situation.
