§ 60. Mr. Dudley Smithasked the Minister of Transport what is his Department's policy on the use of the outside lane in motorways; and whether lorries, vans and motor buses are entitled under regulations to use that lane in other than emergency conditions.
Mr. Bob BrownGoods vehicles of over 3 tons unladen weight and any vehicles drawing a trailer are excluded by Motorway Regulations from the outside lane of 3 lane motorways. This ban does not apply to motor buses.
