§ 53. Mr. Frederic Harrisasked the Minister of Transport what action he proposes to take on the proposal submitted by the Greater London Council for a motorway project known as Ringway 2.
§ Mr. MulleyThe Greater London Council's proposals for Ringway 2 will be considered as part of the Greater London Development Plan. The Council have indicated their intention to submit to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government further proposals for the section between Norbury and Falconwood in time for them to be considered as part of the Plan. This section is not at present included in the Plan.
§ 54. Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Minister of Transport what discussions he has had with the Greater London Council on their Ringway 2 project; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MulleyThe Greater London Council's plans for different parts of Ringway 2 have been discussed at official level from time to time as part of the normal processes of co-ordinating road plans in London. The Council's longterm primary road proposals will be considered as part of the Greater London Development Plan, though I am prepared meanwhile to approve individual schemes on their merits.
