§ Mr. HoyResearch relating to cyclamates has been carried out at a number of research institutions in this country. Work at the British Industrial Biological Research Association is continuing. The decision to ban the use of cyclamates was based primarily on the result of experimental work in the United States. A considerable amount of evidence obtained from experiments carried out in this country and abroad is available about the safety in use of saccharin, and further long-term studies are to be undertaken in the United States and Canada.
