asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science from what individuals and bodies in the last two years he has received representations regarding the establishment of a university in Inverness ; and what has been the nature of his replies.

My hon. Friend the Member for the Western Isles (Mr. Malcolm MacMillan), and the hon. Member for Glasgow, Cathcart (Mr. Edward M. Taylor) have canvassed this proposal.
