§ Mr. William RodgersOn the basis of provisional out-turn figures, identifiable expenditure by the central Government on goods and services in Wales in 1968–69 amounted to nearly 5 per cent. of the corresponding expenditure in the United Kingdom. As the population of Wales, estimated at mid-1968, amounted to 4.9 per cent. of the population of the United Kingdom, this suggests that identifiable expenditure on goods and services per head in Wales is the same as in the United Kingdom as a whole.
