§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give figures showing the result of the Highland Fling Exhibition held under his direction in conjunction with the Highlands and Islands Development Board and other efforts to stop the drift south from Scotland to England of population, particularly skilled workers; and if he will state his plans to counteract the efforts in that direction of the proposed Channel Tunnel and other schemes tending to increase the drift from Scotland.
§ Mr. Ross:I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to my hon. and 134W learned Friend on 15th October, except to say that the total net migration loss from Scotland during 1968–69 was the lowest figure for ten years.—[Vol. 788, c. 87.]
