§ Mr. MulleyNo. The reason why my predecessors have provided detailed statistics about rail closures is that under Section 56 of the Transport Act, 1962, the closure of any railway station to all passenger services cannot take place, if objections are made, without the Minister's consent. But, as regards other railway statistics, it is not my intention to depart from the conventions and practice that have been in force for a number of years.
