§ 50. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Transport if, before considering the applications made to him, he will set up an expert and authoritative inquiry into the plan of Brighton Borough Council to build a series of roads leading from the proposed new Shoreham to Newhaven road to the Brighton coast which will have the effect of by-passing Brighton and inflicting loss on Brighton's trade, industry, commerce and employment.
