§ Sir C. Mott-Radclyffeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many members of the Diplomatic Service who were prematurely retired in the spring of 1969 have now found satisfactory alternative employment.
§ Mr. LuardOf seven officers who have already retired and left their posts, four have found other employment and the other three are actively pursuing suitable opportunities, with the full assistance of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office under the arrangements described to the right hon. Member for Ashford (Mr. Deedes) on 28th April.
The remaining officers are still in post and will not become available for other employment until early 1970, or even later they will, of course, receive similar help when they require it.
