§ Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunication whether in his discussions with the British Broadcasting Corporation on implementing the proposals set out in the document entitled Broadcasting in the Seventies, he will take steps to ensure that no action is taken until the Government have considered and decided on the various proposals submitted for bringing the British Broadcasting Corporation's income and responsibilities into relation with each other.
§ Mr. StonehouseI am satisfied that as a result of the decisions I announced on 14th August the B.B.C. will have sufficient income to continue to fulfil its responsibilities.
