HC Deb 03 November 1969 vol 790 c17W
44. Mr. Will Owen

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will arrange for an early visit by his newly appointed hospital supervisor to St. George's Hospital, Morpeth, to deal with the overcrowding problem; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Crossman

Dr. Baker took up his appointment as Director of the National Health Service Hospital Advisory Service on 1st November, and his first task is to draw up a plan for the staffing and operation of the service. I am drawing his attention to my hon. Friend's suggestion.
