§ Mr. Waddingtonasked the Minister of Technology (1) how many additional jobs have been created in the Nelson and Colne employment exchange areas as a result of industrial development certificates approved since the introduction of investment grants on 19th August, 1966;
(2) how many industrial development certificates have been approved in the Nelson and Colne employment exchange area since the introduction of investment grants on 19th August, 1966.
§ Mr. VarleyFrom 19th August, 1966, to 30th September, 1969, 25 industrial development certificates for a total area of 423,000 sq. ft. were approved in the Nelson and Colne employment exchange areas. They were expected by the applicants to give rise to 460 jobs when the projects were complete and fully manned.
