HC Deb 03 November 1969 vol 790 c51W
Mr. J. H. Osborn

asked the Secretary of State for Local Government and Regional Planning if he will list the accepted marine industrial development areas; whether he will make a statement on the action taken as a result of the Halcrow Report; and if he will publish this in the form of a White Paper.

Mr. Crosland

The sites recognised as physically suitable for maritime industrial development areas were set out in the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Kingston upon Hull, North (Mr. McNamara) by my right hon. Friend the former Secretary of State for Economic Affairs on 17th July last. Decisions on development at any of these sites will not be taken until further progress has been made with the studies of the economic and industrial implications of a M.I.D.A. which my right hon. Friend then announced. It would be premature at this stage to consider a White Paper.
