Friends the Secretary of State for Defence and the Minister of Technology, in consultation with our colleagues, are in the final stages of considering the Government's Reply to the Select Committee's 21W Report on Defence Research, which should be published fairly soon. Due regard is being paid to the Select Committee's views as touching the research establishments as well as the other matters referred to in the Report.
