§ 70. Mr. Pounderasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to authorise the acceptance of Northern Ireland bank notes as legal tender in any part of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Harold LeverExcept in wartime bank notes other than those issued by the Bank of England have never been legal tender. I see no reason to make a change.
