§ 61. Mr. Luardasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will now relax the present hire-purchase regulations relating to motor cars in view of the 25 per cent. drop in production of motor cars between March, 1968, and March, 1969.
§ Mr. DellNo. The drop in production to which my hon. Friend refers was attributable to strikes in March, 1969. Average weekly production in January and February, 1969, was higher than in the corresponding months of 1968.
