§ The Prime MinisterTogether with my right hon. Friend the First Secretary of State, I met the T.U.C. General Council on 12th May to continue our discussions arising out of the Government's proposals for legislation this session on industrial relations. The General Council outlined proposals for action by the T.U.C., which are to be discussed by a Special Congress on 5th June. In discussion the First Secretary of State and I sought clarification of the General Council's proposals, and a number of points have since been pursued in a memorandum which the First Secretary of State has sent to the T.U.C. The First Secretary of State and I are having a further meeting with the General Council tomorrow.
