HC Deb 20 May 1969 vol 784 c60W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what are the provisional estimates of the employee activity rates in mid-1968 for males and females, respectively, in Scotland.

Mr. Fernyhough

The mid-1968 male employee activity rate in Scotland was 74.5 per cent. and the corresponding female activity rate was 40.4 per cent.

These activity rates are based on the 1968 mid-year estimated numbers of employees (including the registered unemployed) aged 15 and over, and on the 1968 mid-year home population estimates.
