§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether in view of the level of Government grants to manufacturing industry in the Scottish development area, he will increase Government assistance to residential housing in order to prevent an undue concentration of building resources on manufacturing industry.
§ Mr. RossNo. I see no signs of such an undue concentration. Housing will continue to make much larger demands than manufacturing industry on our building resources.
