§ Mr. GreenwoodRepresentations on matters within my field of responsibility have usually been about the rate of grant offered to local authorities. In my view, however, the approved rate of 50 per cent., for cleansing and for making preparations, strikes a fair balance between local interests and those of the general body of taxpayers.
