§ Commander Purseyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will now make a loan available to Hull Corporation to enable it to carry out the redecoration of the pre-fabricated houses in East Hull, which have been marked for redecoration for some months.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend has received no application for loan consent to cover redecoration of these temporary houses. Costs of maintenance should be met from an authority's housing repairs fund and are not normally regarded as a proper subject for borrowing.
