§ 40. Mr. Speedasked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what estimate she has made of the number of working days lost and the number of stoppages due to industrial disputes from 1st January, 1969, to the latest convenient date.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerIt is provisionally estimated that in the period from 1st January to 31st March, 1969, 1,502,000 working days were lost as a result of stoppages of work due to industrial disputes in the United Kingdom. The number of stoppages beginning in the same period and which came to the notice of my Department was 626.
