§ Mr. FernyhoughThe object of the Convention was to stimulate interest in different types of work available locally, and not specifically to recruit. The information is therefore not available in precise terms. Over 1,400 persons attended the Convention including many women who inquired about job opportunities. It is hoped and expected that the effects of the interest aroused will be spread over a long period.
