§ 45. Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what steps he is taking to ensure that the land under urban motorway viaducts through residential areas is used for community purposes and to enhance the amenities of the neighbourhood.
§ Mr. SkeffingtonMy right hon. Friend and his right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport agree that the best possible use should be made of such land and I am sure that this view is shared by the local authorities concerned. The Departments are always ready to assist the authorities so far as they can in discussion of proposals.
