Mr. Danceasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government by what authority Birmingham City Council have sought compulsory purchase powers from him in respect of land on the southwestern periphery of the city in advance of a public local inquiry being held into the city council's application for planning permission.
§ Mr. SkeffingtonNo compulsory purchase orders have yet been submitted to my right hon. Friend. I understand, however, that it is the intention of the Council to make such orders. To save time, the case for and against these and the planning application is likely to be heard at the same inquiry.
