§ Mr. Brian Parkynasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether in view of the language difficulties, he will provide special assistance to those 74W doctors in parts of Bedford and elsewhere who have to treat a very high ratio of Commonwealth immigrants.
§ Mr. CrossmanMeasures taken by the Bedfordshire and Luton Executive Council, the National Health Service authority concerned with family doctor services in this area, have included the issue of notices in appropriate languages to explain to Commonwealth immigrants the proper use of these services, including ways in which they can help their doctors. The Council have been glad to have the help of local representatives of immigrants in handling individual problems. Similar arrangements have been made, where necessary, in other areas.
