§ Mr. Braineasked the Minister of Transport (1) whether he will now authorise a grant for the Canvey Island approach road so that construction can begin;
(2) when construction will begin on the Canvey Island approach road; and when he expects the work to be finished.
§ Mr. MarshWe intend to authorise grant as soon as engineering details have been settled with the Essex County Council and a formal application has been submitted and considered. Work can start as soon thereafter as the council can let a contract. It is expected that the work will take two years to complete.
