Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many representations he has received concerning the imprisonment for 15 months without trial of five British subjects at Trani, Italy; how many of these were from hon. Members; and when the British Consul last called to see the men.
§ Mr. WhitlockRepresentations by way of letters and telephone calls to my right hon. Friend, to other Foreign and Commonwealth Office Ministers and to officials have totalled eighteen. Of these, nine were from hon. Members. Our Consul's last visit to the prisoners was on 22nd April.
