§ Mr. MasonThe continual holding or taking up of outside appointments is usually authorised on the basis that any fees are paid over to the Board concerned and not the individual, unless these fees are small or there are other special considerations. Of eight such appointments approved during the last ten years, five are still held. The holders are Lord Melchett and Lord Robens.
