HC Deb 02 May 1969 vol 782 c299W
Mr. Tom Boardman

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will give an estimate of the man-hours and money spent by his Department in the most recent period of 12 months for which figures are available in endeavouring to trace offenders against Section 66 of the Post Office Act, 1953.

Mr. Stonehouse

No records are kept, but sample inquiries indicate that Post Office costs are between £50,000 and £100,000 annually.
